SAN-Light is a passive safety needle compatible with any Luer-lock syringe. It is a single-use, sterile hypodermic needle intended for subcutaneous or intramuscular drug targeted to be administered by caregivers or healthcare professionals. The device provides intuitive, manual needle insertion and passive needlestick protection without requiring modifications to the primary container.
The SAN-Light equips a Luer-lock syringe with these unique features, while enabling the user to control injection speed manually by pressing the plunger rod. Before the injection, only the needle tip is exposed, minimizing needle visibility, which helps in lower patient anxiety and reduces perceived pain, and creates a calmer injection experience for the patinets, users, and healthcare professionals. Calmer injections encourage patients to return for follow-up treatments, supporting long-term adherence.

Attach
Connect the SAN-Light to a standard Luer-lock syringe containing the drug. Remove cap.

Insert
Push the SAN-Light against the skin until the needle guard fully retracts and stops.

Inject
Push the syringe plunger to manually deliver the medication using standard injection technique.

Remove & Discard
Withdraw the device from the skin. The safety shield will automatically lock over the needle. Discard in a sharps container.
