Reconstitution Systems

SYMIX™

Dual-Chamber Syringe for Integrated Reconstitution & Injection

The SYMIX™ enables separate storage, reconstitution, and direct injection in the same device. Prior to administration, the components are mixed in the device, eliminating the need for multiple separate components (such as vials, adapters, and extra syringes) and complex transfer steps.

The SYMIX™ Dual-Chamber syringe uses an internal bypass to enable mixing of the two components within the barrel. As the user pushes the plunger, the rear stopper advances to the bypass zone, allowing the rear component (mainly liquid) to flow through the bypass channel into the front chamber to meet the second component. After mixing, the plunger continues its stroke like a standard syringe, delivering the full dose directly from the same container. By consolidating these elements, SYMIX™ simplifies preparation, significantly reduces handling steps, and helps minimize contamination risk.

Before / After

SYMIX™ combines drug storage, reconstitution, and injection in one device, simplifying the entire process.

Key Features & Benefits

For Patients, Caregivers & Healthcare Professionals

Ease of Use & Handling The integrated dual-chamber design reduces device assembly and preparation complexity, enabling a more intuitive injection workflow.

Accurate Dose Preparation Pre-measured drug and diluent are combined within a single system, helping ensure consistent preparation while minimizing handling errors.

Reducing Contamination Risk The closed system minimizes exposure to external contaminants and particulate matter.

For Pharmaceutical Companies

Stable Storage Provides separate storage of stability-sensitive injectable drug products, preserving chemical and physical stability, maintaining potency, and supporting shelf life until the point of administration.

Customizable Platform SYMIX™ can be engineered in a glass or polymer barrel, with custom chamber volumes and mixing mechanisms tailored to your drug’s requirements and required usability.

Flexible Needle Interface/ Compatibility Flexible interfaces support common needle types such as Luer-lock and pen needles, configurable per project. SYMIX™ can also integrate with a variety of safety-needle options, including DALIMED’s SAN® safety needle family.

How to Use SYMIX™

Key steps highlight - please refer to specific instructions for use.
01
Prepare
Prepare the device according to its specific design (remove the cap and attach a needle if not pre-assembled).
02
Activate & Mix
Push the plunger to activate the internal mechanism and bring the drug components together, then gently swirl or invert until mixed. Expel air if needed.
03
Inject
Administer the full dose using standard injection technique. Discard in a sharps container.
